There is a few we have packed in here. I am going to try to do a why question every two months now. Remember you can ask any reasonable question here.
Why Questgivers?
No one likes something the exact same as the book right? This changes up the stories a bit.
With questgivers you can: Go meet other cat forests (like the Forest of Fire which is Firestars forest), play some journey games that take you through, save another cat, make friends that you don't see at your forest home, talk to Starclan on the way.

Very interesting. And here I was thinking it was some more cats there to supposedly guide us but in all reality are there to tell us what to do.
